Leadership Lessons from Nehemiah
The holy city of Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 B.C., and the Jews were exiled to Babylon, not returning for 48 years. For over 90 years after the return of the first exiles, the city walls and gates were not repaired and left in shambles. However when Nehemiah heard of this and began the work to complete them, the walls were completed in 52 days. How was this accomplished, and what lessons can the leaders of today take away from Nehemiah?
Plato and The God (working title)
Plato is considered to be the pivotal figure in Western philosophy. Why is his birth date in 428 B.C. relevant to the Bible? It occurred just after the last events of the Old Testament, and well before the birth of Jesus Christ. Is it possible that some of his critical thoughts and philosophies may have been different if he had lived a couple hundred years earlier, or a few hundred years later?
